A large stream of visitors attended Host 2015, the five-day event that confirmed Milan as the capital of hospitality. With 150,000 visitors and 2,000 exhibitors from 47 countries, the event established itself as one of the world’s most important exhibitions devoted to all players in the HoReCa sector. Within Host’s new area specifically for refrigeration, expanded to over 4,000 m2, the three brands of Epta previewed their innovative solutions in three exclusive dedicated Foodcities: Eurocryor, the city of ideal presentation, Misa, the city of perfect preservation, and Iarp, the city of successful merchandising.

Among the numerous international visitors who flocked to the Epta stand, a system that attracted great interest was Epta Food Defence, the new silver ion antibacterial system, available for all Misa coldrooms. Designed to improve the food safety of products stored in coldrooms, Epta Food Defence is able to prevent, combat and eliminate numerous species of bacteria, including the most prevalent and dangerous ones.

In addition, the RawFood Corner bearing the Eurocryor, Misa and Iarp signatures perfectly matched the new trends that emerged at Host, which see an ever-growing demand for highly customizable, multifunctional solutions. This highly accessorized mini-kitchen was designed to offer intriguing show cooking in restaurants, cafés, hotels and retail locations to entertain customers throughout the day. A winning solution, as confirmed by the numbers recorded in the Epta stand at Host: Chef Lorena Loriato performed twice a day, preparing and talking about tasty raw recipes before a fascinated public and serving up over 500 raw dishes for sampling.

Guests’ attention was also captured by the innovative technology for super-creamy gelato launched by Eurocryor and the Realook plug-in of Iarp. The details: Eurocryor presented an exclusive international system (design pending and Italian patent pending) to create an ice cream display case with gelato pans which guarantees better product preservation while also allowing customers to see the broad assortment of flavours offered through small refrigerated displays in the front of the case. Finally, Iarp’s Realook impresses customers with its attractive design and high interactivity thanks to its audio system and 47” full HD transparent screen. Integrated into the glass door, it is activated by proximity sensors to channel promotional content and actively involve the customer in an unprecedented experience.
