A NEW CHAPTER FOR SEDICO’S SUPERW: A SUSTAINABLE RESTYLING THANKS TO EPTA'S INTEGRAL REFRIGERATION

The SuperW store in Mas di Sedico, a store which is a reference point for mountain communities in the province of Belluno, has reopened to the public with a completely renovated look, thanks to the installation in each department of Epta's most innovativeIntegral refrigeration solutions from the Costan and Eurocryor brands. 

Nestled between the picturesque Agordo Dolomites and the valley floor of Valbelluna, the supermarket is one of 15 stores belonging to the Walber Group, a family business founded in 1921 as a grocery wholesaler and a key player in local large-scale retail for over 50 years. In keeping with the values that have always set the chain apart, the brand has strategically invested in a project aimed at optimising the refrigeration and energyperformance of its refrigerated cabinets, with particular emphasis on the environment, while maintaining the atmosphere of a small artisan shop. 

EPTA MEANS CUSTOMISATION AND RELIABILITY 

Epta has again confirmed its expertise in configuring the right kind of refrigeration system tailored to suit retailers’ needs, all while maximising customisation and reliability. 

Thanks to Epta's strategic consulting and design skills, the SuperW store in Sedico has managed to successfully overcome its system-related limitations. In particular, the machine room has been used solely to house the new air-conditioning system, for which compact Integral Air solutions equipped with an integrated refrigeration unit inside the cabinet were needed, in order to eliminate the need for a central refrigeration unit. Furthermore, given the presence of apartments in the same building, the Integral cabinets have effectively solved the need to contain noise emissions.

The result sees an atmosphere which is all about comfort, allowing customers to savour the region's gastronomic traditions, all enhanced by the various models: 

• GranVista Integral and Mambo Integral, from Costan's GranFit and SlimFit families respectively, designed to deliver outstanding presentation of fresh foods and ready-to-eat products, including fruit and vegetables and filled pasta;

   

• Comfort Integral, from Eurocryor's Elementi range, which combines differentfood sales and preservation approaches - served, self-service, refrigerated and dine-in - in a single solution that delivers complete versatility and visual continuity of ready-to-eat products in the delicatessen department. In order to ensure the range of products is completely complementary, the model is also ducted with the open-front Batik Integral semi-vertical cabinet from Costan's OutFit range, designed to offer an exceptional display to floor-space ratio;     

• The Stage promotional island: a byword for maximum flexibility, this model allows product positioning to be adjusted to suit individual promotions, increasing visibility and profitability at the same time; 

• GranBering Integral, from the GranFit range for frozen foods with its total visibility, considerable loading capacity and energy performance which compares well with the remote version, thanks to the built-in unit which runs on R290 gas. 

Finally, the Sedico SuperW store is a virtuous example of how adopting fully natural refrigeration can help reduce the environmental and climate impact of the store, while generating a positive impact on the territory and communities.
