EPTA IBERIA FOR THE NEW IMAGE OF THE SORLI STORE OF PASSEIG DE SANT GERVASI IN BARCELONA
Sorli, one of the primary Catalan supermarket chains that boasts almost one hundred years of history and more than one hundred stores, has chosen Epta Iberia to restyle its store of Passeig de Sant Gervasi in Barcelona. The project is part of a wider plan for the complete renewal of its image, to merge tradition and innovation.
The key novelty, fruit of the new business model, is the reorganisation of the supermarket layout. It involves an accurate study of space, to respond even more effectively to the needs of customers with little time to dedicate to shopping and to the search for a practical and engaging shopping experience. Sorli particularly appreciated the Eurocryor Impact solution proposed by Epta Iberia for meats and cured meats. This cabinet integrates the presentation of pre-packaged products in the lower part and local meats and cured meats in the upper part offered by expert staff who are able to advise on the best pairings. There are several details worthy of note: the Retailer was impressed by the mise en scène, merged with the optimisation of space. Thanks to the functional design, with a single cabinet, Impact makes it possible to join serve-over with self-service sales. Furthermore, the quality wood finishes selected contribute to highlighting the genuine products of local producers that Sorli rely on.
The self-service area features the GranVista Integral vertical cabinets for fresh products in the Compact version with Advance doors and LED lighting and the vertical plug-in unit for frozen products Valzer, characterised by a look & feel that merges harmoniously, to give an elegant and modern allure. Furthermore, their reduced dimensions have increased the width of store aisles by 600 m². Finally, thanks to the elevated visibility and versatility they proved ideal to respond to the request of Sorli to offer Customers “solutions" and not just products, putting side by side all the ingredients necessary to create a healthy and balanced meal and make the purchase more intuitive and in line with new consumption requirements.
