FRESHNESS SIGNED EPTA FOR E.LECLERC OF CLEUNAY, FRANCE

The E.Leclerc supermarket chain relies once again on Epta Group and on the commercial refrigeration solutions branded Costan and Eurocryor to restyle the store of Cleunay, in Rennes. An exhibition space with a high turnout, of approximately 9000m², completely renewed in its layout and design, thanks to a concept managed by the Interior Architecture Firm of Beatrice Oréal of Nantes, with which Epta has actively collaborated to respond to any design need.

The E.Leclerc store is made unique by the four islands realised with the Velvet Costan serve-over cabinets placed at the centre of the supermarket to enhance the zone marché (fresh areas) with originality. Velvet is characterised for being an industrialised range and therefore with certified performance, combined with a wide availability of models and customisations. The perfect proportion between glass surfaces and the structure of the Velvet with Design aesthetics ensures maximum visibility and ergonomics, with a display level and articles at the “right height" that improve the interaction with the consumer and encourage greater rotation, while facilitating the operator during the restocking phases. Cheese, Cured Meat, Deli and Asian Cuisine; the entire food offer is prepared on-site to respond to the new trends of user consumption, always in a hurry and with little time to dedicate to cooking. In particular, the Deli area presents itself with a rich display of “ready-to-eat" dishes made by the Chefs of the store and offered inside the self-service version of the Velvet cabinet. For fusion cuisine lovers, on the other hand, the cabinet of Asian specialities doubles up: Thai cuisine (Pytaya) on one side and Japanese on the other. The furniture is characterised by a harmonious display and alternates fresh produce cooked on site by Oriental cooks and dry produce.

Worthy of note is also the butcher department with a different configuration of Velvet with Design aesthetics, combined with the Torre module. Inside this area, the furniture is characterised by a special brick finish on the front, designed to recall a traditional atmosphere. This is a functional space, which plays on special technical solutions to enhance the display of meat cuts. Costan has proposed furnishings of different heights, large glass surfaces without uprights, and shelves raised by 6cm, which bring the products closer to the consumer's eyes.

To complete the presentation of the main product categories, such as cheese, cured meat and fresh meat, particular attention has also been paid to displaying them with self-service solutions. A strategy implemented thanks to the use of Lion Club semi-vertical cabinets, Green freezers branded Costan and the Twin Midi semi-vertical cabinets of Eurocryor, excellent solutions in the development of important cross-selling opportunities.

Finally, for the sale of fresh packaged products the GranVista Next vertical cabinets were chosen in the Advance version, which, with a slightly curved shape designed ad hoc, cover a length of 26m along the store's perimeter. This customisation has allowed to dynamically outline the customer's purchasing path while ensuring maximum visibility of products.

Crucial for the success of the project has been the ability of Epta Group to make itself the only go-to person in the realisation of complete systems. A support which has proved to be decisive in this installation, thanks also to the subcontracting of solutions, such as the cheese aging rooms, to ensure a turn-key project for the Client.
